The biggest difference with the
Chinese fresh water pearls is that KESHI PEARL productions
is a sea water pearl and is only around 1 to 2% of AKOYA
PEARLS,but the fresh water pearls are made in 300-500
tons. |

Due to no nucleus making it mostly
nacre and also that it made in the sea water. The main
reason also being that it can take up to 7years to form.。

rarer everyday. As the AKOYA production is going down
every year the same is occuring to KESHI PEARLS too.
But in the case of KESHI PEARLS it is more so as most
of the farms are using machinery lately to take out
pearls and there fore the smaller KESHI automatically
are getting discarded. |
■Drilled and threded in India
A long time ago India used to trade
spice with Iraq and receive pearls as one of the goods
being berterd. These pearls were then drilled and produce
into lewelry in India in order to be sold to all the
MAHARAJAS of India and the royal families of the middle
east. |
